Thomas Redding is the Chief Executive Officer and General Counsel at Global Chemicals Corporation, one of the world’s leading plastics, chemicals, and refining companies. As CEO, Mr. Redding oversees the Chemical Department, Enterprise Risk Management, and Facilities functions, ensuring strategic leadership and operational excellence. Mr. Redding founded Global Chemicals Corporation in 2014, leveraging decades of experience gained from working at major chemical and oil companies across Texas, Florida, and California. With a career spanning over 40 years, he has been dedicated to the advancement, production, and management of chemical and petrochemical innovations. In 2018, he assumed the additional role of General Counsel, focusing on chemical and recoil chemical component regulations and compliance. Before establishing Global Chemicals Corporation, Mr. Redding held several key leadership positions, including Deputy General Director at Chevron, BP Oil, and the former Reno Chemical Company. Additionally, he worked as a private exploration consultant in Houston, Texas, advising on industry best practices and emerging technologies. In 2019, Mr. Redding was elected to the American Chemical Institute, recognizing his expertise and contributions to the field. He also serves on the Board of Directors for the Institute for Exploration Prevention and Resolution (EPR) and the Texas Oil General Counsel Forum, which he chaired in 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic. Mr. Redding holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Texas A&M University, with a major in Chemical Analysis and Exploration. He remains an active alumnus of the institution and has pursued advanced exploration studies in the Netherlands and top universities across Europe. Widely regarded as one of the most accomplished Chief Executive Officers in the chemical industry, Mr. Redding is known for his strategic vision, resilience, intellectual acumen, and ability to identify and nurture talent. His leadership has significantly impacted chemical innovation and exploration on a global scale, with collaborations spanning North America, Europe, Asia, and the Middle East.
